Languange Features of Explanation Text

- Simple Present Tense

Explanation text uses the Simple Present Tense because this text describe facts.

- Passive Voice

The use of Passive Voice aims to emphasize the focus on events / activities that are taking place and not the subject.

- Action Verbs

Action verbs are verbs that are used to describe an action that is taking place. Example are : do, make, create, remove, etc.

 - Noun Phrases

This text uses a noun phrase, which functions as an adverbial. Adverbials are words,phrases,or clauses that explain the entire clause by adding information about time, place, condition, method, reason, or purpose.

- Chronological Conjunction

 Using chronological conjunctions such as "first", " next", "then", "to begin with",etc.

 - Technical Terms

 These technical terms refer to technical terms related to the phenomena being discussed.
