Hi guys! so in this session we will be discussing about the PERSONAL LETTER.

Have you guys ever heard what personal letter is?

so, Personal letter is a type of letter that contains personal matter and for personal purposes, usually from one individual to another. The personal letter usually use an informal but polite language.

Here's the Social function,text structure,and elements of language ;

a. Social Function

The social functions of the Personal Letter text are:

· to convey information

· to share experiences

· to apologize and others

b. Text Structure

The structure of the Personal Letter text consists of:

· Heading or letterhead containing the address and date.

· Greetings; usually begins with the word "Dear" and the recipient's name and a comma.

Body is the content of the letter.

· Closing or closing; usually a short phrase such as “Sincerely” or “Love” followed by a comma.

· Signatures; the signature affixed above the sender's name.

c. Elements of Language

The linguistic features of the Personal Letter text are:

· Using the Simple Present Tense.

· Sometimes also use the Simple Past Tense

 if the information conveyed occurred in the past
